The Rodmaker 247 FST blanks are made from Unidirectional S2 Glass, a material that is stiffer and stronger than e-glass or standard s-glass. These rods have a fast for glass taper and are a real crowd pleaser.
 
They are made of 100% Unidirectional material, which is non-woven. The non-woven Unidirectional material is up to 40% stronger than the traditional woven material typically used by fly rod manufacturers, allowing it to achieve 100% of its tensile and compressive loading capabilities.
